Office Hours is an hour long Zoom call we have on Friday’s from 2-3pm ET. The event is exclusive to Epsilon Theory members and is a great way to hear Ben’s thoughts on markets, politics, and current events. Every Monday I post a brief recap of the previous OH. This is not a transcription of the call and doesn’t cover everything. But it does outline the main conversations we had.
Before this was posted on the ET Forum, but we’re moving it to the front page so more people can see the recap and understand the opportunities of Office Hours.
These are the major topics and ideas we discussed during the 8/26/2022 Office Hours as well as some of the biggest takeaways. If you have something you want to add to the conversation, let us know in the comments and join us next time.
AI Visuals:
We’re always looking for new ways to express our ideas and share our content. Recently Ben’s been fascinated with AI created videos. These are videos and pictures created by AI based on the words and language you input. A lot of this inspiration comes from a pack member in Germany who has been working on his own AI run show. You can check it out here – https://twitter.com/SALT_VERSE/status/1539588118961168384
We love the idea of using this technology to create visual representation of our ET and game theory ideas. The example Ben gave during the call was “the island of the green-eyed tribe”. Other suggestions from the pack were The Long Now, Stalking Horse, and Magical Thinking. What are some ideas you’d like to see in a visual format?
Cursed Knowledge:
I love creating the Cursed Knowledge podcast and sharing it with you all. Going forward we’ll be more explicitly intertwining CK and the ET ideas. So I want to ask you for your favorite stories. Either some ET ideas you find especially interesting, or cursed knowledge you can’t get out of your head. Something that’ll make me say “Thanks! I hate it!”
We’d love to hear your thoughts on these ideas and hope that you’ll join us next time. If you haven’t already, sign up to access the Forum and Office Hours.
