Cursed Knowledge is our latest podcast that explores how narratives, for better and worse, have shaped our world without us noticing. The world is full of people pushing their version of reality on us and it’s time to expose the truth. No matter how much you might wish we hadn’t.

Marie Antoinette has a rather interesting historical footprint. For all that her image is iconic and her reputation infamous, it’s not all the truth. The real Marie Antoinette has been lost to the Cartoon of Marie Antoinette™. So I want to show you a glimpse at the real person behind the cartoon and take a closer look at how her cartoon got started.

Another fascinating episode! It reminds me of Catherine the Great and the horse thing, it’s kind of mind-blowing that so many years later that is still “common knowledge”. Although it’s fictionalized, I thought “The Great” did a good job of showing how trumped up it was. (No reference intended to a certain ex-President.)
